CMISS Center Operations

 

Name

The name of this organization shall be the Center for MIS Studies, Michael F. Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma (hereafter "CMISS").

Any use of the organization's name must have prior concurrence of the Executive Director of CMISS.

Mission

The purpose of CMISS is to provide for a program of intellectual collaboration at the University and a venue for interaction between academia and business to share knowledge, skills, and efforts of the University of Oklahoma's MIS Division with member organizations in a framework that encourages innovation and productivity.

Task Forces

The Executive Committee may from time-to-time appoint ad hoc task forces as required for the duration of the requirement to be met.

Parliamentary Procedure

In the absence of any provision to the contrary in the Bylaws, all business meetings of CMISS and of appointed committees shall be governed by the parliamentary rules and usages contained in the current edition of Robert's Rules of Order.

Amendments

Amendments to these Bylaws may be initiated by any CMISS member.

Proposed amendments to these Bylaws shall be submitted in advance to the CMISS and adopted by a majority vote thereof.

Adoption

Adoption of these Bylaws and procedures shall be by majority vote of the entire CMISS membership and they shall be effective from the date of adoption.
