The Board of Directors for CMISS shall be comprised of a
Chair, three Directors and the past Chair. These officers
shall be selected by the CMISS Faculty Advisory Committee
(comprised of the CMISS Executive Director, the Michael F.
Price Chair in MIS and the Director of the MIS Division)
every two years and shall hold office for a term of two
years, each term commencing at the beginning of the fall
semester. Selection of the Board shall be done during the
second spring semester of a Chair's term. The Chair shall preside over CMISS retreats and provide guidance on CMISS goals and objectives. Directors shall participate in CMISS retreats and provide input on CMISS goals and objectives. The Chair may serve for more than a single two year term by mutual consent of the Chair and the CMISS Faculty Advisory Committee. The three faculty directors of CMISS (As described below) shall constitute its operating committee that will be chaired by the CMISS Executive Director. The Executive Director of CMISS, the Associate Director for Research, and the Associate Director for Membership manage the operations of the Center. The Executive Director's duties include long-range planning, quality control and budgeting. The Associate Director of Membership is responsible for new member development, current member relationships, and such other duties as are appropriate to the mission of the Center. The Associate Director of Research is responsible for serving as a liaison between the MIS faculty and CMISS members on research activities of mutual interest, and such other duties are appropriate to the mission of the Center. (A list of current MIS faculty can be found on the Resources page.) The Executive Director may make other appointments with appropriate titles as necessary. The Executive Director is selected by the MIS Division Director.
